Admission

Due to the high cost of their veterinary care and a stigma of being “less adoptable,” older cats and dogs are one of the most at-risk groups of being placed on the euthanasia list at overcrowded shelters. This is why we are committed to giving seniors the second chance they deserve by placing them in foster or adoptive homes and providing the necessary medical care to allow for a quality of life.

Admission Criteria

Due to limited resources, Newman Nation: Senior Pets United only admits the most urgent cats and dogs meeting one or more of the following criteria:

Over 10 years of age

At risk of euthanasia at a high-volume facility

In need of immediate medical attention

Special needs

Hospice diagnosis
